! ANOTHER PIONEER CALLED

! Samuel Horner died last night at midnight at his home one mile south and three quarters of a mile west of Liberty Center at the advanced age of nearly 79 years. He was born in Ohio and came to this state in 1849, settling on the Salamonie a mile east of Warren at the old McCoy grist mill. In 1861 he purchased the farm upon which he died and has been a resident of this county almost forty years. Mrs. Horner died several years ago and Mr. Horner now leaves nine children living, six sons and three daughters. The sons are Joe, John and Francis of this city and Reuben, Lee and James at home. The daughters are Mrs. Anna Brenneman, Mrs. Lizzie Sprowl, of this city and Mrs. Minnie Wolf, who resided with her father. Mr. Horner, during his earlier years was a vigorous, hard working citizen, but with advance of age he was able to do but little. The funeral arrangements were not yet made.
