! Flight of Years Brings About Strange Circumstances and Fate Is Ever Busy Weaving Its Web A.M. Kizer of Monroe had finished seeding and was cutting corn. This story is badly delayed by rush of sales, etc., but good any time. There were some fine pumpkins and turnips and Mrs. Kizer had just come in with some fine cucumbers, saying they had everything to eat and she was busy most of the time cooking it. The Kizers have fine shade and the cattle had come from the pasture to fight flies under the trees. There were some good looking cows among them, and Mrs Kizer has some revenue from the sale of cream, saying she makes more money and with less work than churning. She had three children in the Walnut Creek school, and Miss Florence Kizer goes to the Upland high school. She did post graduate work at Walnut Creek last year, and girls of that community all end up in the Upland high school. Tacy say there is quite a rush of horses at the livery barn in the evening although Miss Kizer stays in Upland all week. Time works changes in the lives of people and years ago Mrs. Kizer was an orphan girl and came to the last school taught by the Leader itinerant, and now she presides over a household of her own. The life circumstances often change and the orphan children certainly appreciate homes of their own later in life. Through some combination of circumstances The Leader had stopped coming to the Kizer mansion, but they were lost without it and she advised a trip to the corn field saying she did not know what Mr. Kizer would say, but he left it all to her with the result that they are reading The Leader again.

! This story evidently appeared in The Leader paper of Marion, Ind. about 1910, as Florence Kizer would have been 16 years old at this time. I suspect it was just a fill, but a nice human interest item of the time.
