Notes
!Nathaniel Brewster's land bordered on Capt. John Tucker's land. Nathaniel
Brewster was the first minister of Brookhaven. His son Timothy was town clerk
for twenty-three years and his son Daniel for twenty-six years following. On
October 24, 1665, the town bought for Rev. Mr. Brewster the house and lot of
Matthew Prior. His ministry is an important chapter in the history of
Brookhaven. Dinah may have been a daughter to Nathaniel Brewster.
!Joseph and brother John Jr. remained a resident of Setauket/Brookhaven.
