! Franklin Evening Star Monday JuneE 25, 1923 Lusk named executor in Nancy Clark's Will Also made a beneficiary -- Franklin people given farm William R. Lusk, former trustee of Needham township and widely known farmer of the Second Mt. Pleasant community, is names as executor of the Nancy Clark estate in her will which was offered for probate in the Shelby county court late Saturday afternoon. The estate comprises 240 acres of valuable Shelby county land and 80 acres of Johnson county land together with considerable personal property. The estate is valued at between $75000 and $100000. Within 6 hours of her death which occurred last Wednesday morning, Dennis Tucker, her only brother, filed formal protest in the Shelby Circuit Court against the probation of his sister's will. The action was taken even before funeral services had been arranged. He did not know what was in the will but filed protest on the grounds that his sister was of unsound mind when she made the will. Mr. Tucker had not been at his sister's home for some time and was not there when she died. Mr. and Mrs. Lusk and other neighbors had taken care of her during her last illness. It is said that Dennis Tucker was quite threatening in his manner toward her and that he also had threatened two or three of her close friends and advisors. He is 85 years old. When the will was offered for probate Saturday afternoon it was learned that Dennis was the chief beneficiary of the will, Having been left a life interest in the 240 acre farm. On his death the life interest was to pass to his son Dallas Tucker, and on the latter's death Joseph Tucker son of Dallas and grandson of Dennis is to recieve the farm in fee simple. Thus the Tuckers who started a fight on the will even before Mrs. Clark's funeral, are the principal beneficiaries of the very will they have asked the court to probate. Etc. Tucker drops protest, Lusk named executor ---after considering the matter, Tucker decided he fared rather well under his sister's will.--

William Clark was born in 1841 and died November 6 1903. He is remembered by a large circle of friends as a man who stood high in the esteem of his fellow men. He was known for his charity and benevolence and was known to be a man who always stood ready to help those in distress. He was a kind husband and a good citizen. By trade he was a miller and followed that occupation for many years. His deeds of kindness are remembered by many of his less fortunate neighbors.
